The Flow lamp centers on a mirror-polished metal sheet, curved into a single continuous form like a ribbon of silk caught mid-fold, its asymmetric silhouette full of movement.

Visually, the lamp carries a sense of smooth flow throughout its body, like a ribbon of silk or a stream of water.

The stillness and strength of the metal both contrast with and complement the softness of the lamp’s form.

MATERIALS & LIGHTING IN THE SPACE

An acrylic light column is tucked within the fold, letting warm light slip through the gap.

The light source appears and recedes depending on the viewing angle, a quietly intriguing detail of the design.

The mirror-polished surface reflects and amplifies the warm glow, turning the gap between the two folds into a soft point of light within an otherwise solid, sculptural mass.

Switched off, the curved form still stands on its own as an independent sculptural piece.

Materials and craftsmanship

The body is a mirror-polished metal sheet, curved into one continuous form. Inside the fold sits a slim acrylic light column that glows softly.

The Flow lamp is made of two separate parts joined by a magnetic connection, and is manufactured at Hilykan Factory in Vietnam.

The lamp measures W370 x H300 mm and runs on a 3000K LED with a driver.

Each Flow lamp is finished by hand, so the curve of the metal stays smooth and the fold keeps its clean edge.

The magnetic joint of the Flow lamp lets the two parts separate for packing and reassemble in seconds, without tools.

Here, the warm tone also flatters the mirror-polished metal, giving its reflections a soft golden character.

Caring for your Flow lamp

Wipe the mirror surface with a soft cloth and warm water with a mild detergent, then dry it to avoid water marks.

Avoid steel wool, scouring pads, and chlorine-based cleaners, which can scratch or stain the surface.

Clean the acrylic column with a soft cloth, and avoid ammonia-based glass cleaners and solvents.

About mirror-polished finishes

A mirror finish is made by polishing the metal until the surface reflects like a mirror. The smoother the surface, the clearer the reflection.

Because the surface is so smooth, fingerprints and dust show more easily than on a matte finish. A quick wipe with a soft cloth restores the shine.
