The OT lamp by Truong Kha Tu takes the form of a triangular volume divided into tiers and “compartments”, recalling the high-rise towers found in every major city today.

The gaps between tiers and compartments read like glass windows still glowing late into the night — a familiar image of a city, a company, a country that never stops growing.

MATERIALS & LIGHTING IN THE SPACE

The body is woven from slender 1mm stainless-steel strips alternating over and under, held by a 2mm triangular frame and raised on flat metal legs.

Light never shines straight out. It filters through each woven gap, creating an even rhythm of light and shadow across the surface.

In a living room, lobby or study, OT stands like a miniature tower that is still lit.

Each stainless-steel strip of the OT lamp is woven and assembled onto its triangular frame at Hilykan Factory in Vietnam.

OT lamp in the living space

On a console, sideboard or side table, the OT lamp reads as a small sculptural tower, its woven surface catching the eye even when switched off.

Switched on, the light escapes only through the gaps in the weave, so it works as a soft ambient accent rather than a direct task light.

Because the strips alternate over and under, the openings form a regular grid of small glowing windows on every face of the triangle.

Seen from different angles, the pattern of light and metal shifts, giving the lamp a quiet sense of movement.

Pairing OT with your interior

The stainless-steel finish works well with concrete, dark wood, glass and the other materials of modern urban interiors.

Placed in a group of two or three, OT lamps can form a small skyline, each one glowing through its own grid of windows.

Leave a little space around the lamp so its triangular silhouette and woven texture can be read clearly.

Caring for your OT lamp

Always switch off and unplug the lamp before cleaning.

Dust the woven stainless steel with a soft, dry brush or cloth, reaching gently into the gaps between the strips.

Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners, which can mark the stainless-steel surface.
