Floating Cloud of Light

Each spherical module is wrapped in dó paper and connected to form a seamless luminous cloud suspended in space. The natural translucency of dó paper allows the light to diffuse softly and ethereally, creating tonal gradients reminiscent of sunlight passing through evening clouds. Thanks to the porous, irregular fibers of the paper, the light reflects in unpredictable ways, offering visual depth and emotional resonance.

The suspended structure of Cumulus is supported by a sturdy steel framework that allows the entire installation to appear as though it is floating in mid-air. From below, the glowing spheres assemble into an artistic cloud form, filling the space with a poetic, ambient warmth.

A Dialogue Between Tradition and Design

By uniting traditional Vietnamese paper with modern engineering, the installation becomes more than a lighting fixture—it becomes a sculptural experience. The result is a piece that blends handcrafted texture with architectural precision, evoking both tranquility and wonder.
